Wonderful piece, Jill. My great great great granddad was a scholar of linguistics and gave a translation of the Moabite stone which was written in ancient Phoenecian script. I think it was one of many translations but I find it fascinating, partly because I have always had an interest in ancient scripts, even before knowing about my great (x3) granddad.
