Wow! I would say that's a crazy amount of money but I think my sister and her husband spent more over many years on renovating their Cognac manor house - and it's still crumbling.

I know I've seen beautiful looking photos from your place. Modernisation is definitely good in some respects but you can definitely go overboard.
