Yes, I've read accounts in various places of some of the many Dartmoor legends. I tend to forget all the details but I do remember there being stories of the hairy hands along the road between Two Bridges and Postbridge. As for Old Crockern, we walk often to (and swim at) a place called Queen of the Dart which was once a copper mine that promised great riches. And then one thing after another destroyed those plans, which was put down to Old Crockern letting the humans know who's in charge.

And yes, I recognised that at least one of those photos doesn't look like true Dartmoor.
