You are describing tolerance, Donnette, which should be the absolute basic value of any publication here. As others here have said, this was inciting something on the opposite extreme and it did hurt people. Anyone with a conscience would naturally feel remorse from hurting others and the natural next step is to show that remorse openly by way of a heartfelt apology.

No one is forcing Winston to do anything that he doesn't feel comes authentically. I think people are feeling let down by someone whom they once put their trust in and supported. I speak for myself at least but I was not the one targeted by the hate speech that was endorsed by Winston.
