You have nailed it, Linda! This is exactly how I feel about Medium.

My writing has developed and evolved no end since I started writing here 14 moths ago. I have stayed consistent, barely missing a day of publishing, and don't just pump out any old crap. I did see an increase in earnings over the months and it encouraged me. And then it stopped increasing and has consistently gone backwards for the last three or so months. Some day's earnings are pitiful for the amount I have written and the standard I know I have reached. I no longer spend too long on the platform and have found other, better-paying opportunities, but Medium shouldn't be this bad for writers. There's something seriously wrong going on and it's not our lack of expertise.
