You write so eloquently about it, Shirley, and with a great deal of kindness towards those struggling with awkwardness.

The midwife that assisted the birth of my second child was struggling to conceive. When I heard that, I was utterly overwhelmed at her selflessness in her professional role. She was one of the most kind, compassionate and encouraging midwives I had ever come across. I guess my point is that women will always nurture and love others by nature, and that we all need to remember that including others is far more important than tiptoeing around them.

Thanks for sharing my piece too!
