Your poor husband! The fear those scammers instil into their victims is horrible.
There are some total angels of tech experts on YouTube who have tracked down some of these scam call centres, intercepted their calls, even got into their computer systems and deleted lists of phone numbers and people’s bank details from them. They’ve saved people from being scammed in real time who have been on their way to a bitcoin machine to send bitcoin to scammers, or gift cards or whatever. It’s fascinating to see and made me much more aware of who may be on the other end of a phone line when I receive calls from random numbers.
